SQM Challenge "More Lithium, less footprint"
Applications closed
Faced with the environmental and social challenges in which the world is immersed, it is essential to promote the use of renewable energies to reduce the carbon footprint and increase the well-being of society. In this context, lithium-ion batteries play a relevant role by enabling energy storage, allowing subsequent consumption in fixed sources and in sustainable means of transport.
At SQM, we have been playing a fundamental role in the production of sustainable lithium for years, always looking for new technologies and ways to continue reducing the world's carbon footprint. For this reason, we consider it vitally important to find innovative solutions that bring electromobility and stationary energy storage closer to the communities that need it most, so that together we can actively collaborate towards the transition and sustainable growth of the country.
We invite all R&D centers and universities, SMEs, startups, and developing initiatives that have proposals that contribute and generate a positive impact on these initiatives to participate in the SQM Open Innovation call “More Lithium, less footprint” .
